Oxford Forestry Society meetings have been held in and around Oxford since 2004. The meetings have been well attended and served as valuable occasions to meet up with forestry related friends and colleagues to socialise, as well as discuss the prevailing issues affecting the world’s forests.
Meetings and talks have included:
- Forestry dinner at St Cross College
- Visit to Foxholes Wood West Oxfordshire
- Forest Feast – Food from Forests (Vaults and Garden) - Speaker: Colin Tudge
- Trees in our landscape – Oxford University Botanic Gardens – Speaker: Dr Steven Harris
- Forestry and the Kyoto Protocol
- The outlook for the world’s forests with regard to biomass energy and agriculture
